Angiography and Angioplasty

Our skilled interventional radiologists perform angiography to visualize blood vessels and diagnose conditions such as blockages or narrowing. Angioplasty procedures are then utilized to widen narrowed arteries using balloon catheters, stents, or other devices, restoring proper blood flow.

Embolization

We specialize in embolization procedures to treat various conditions, including uterine fibroids, vascular malformations, and tumors. Embolization involves blocking blood flow to targeted areas using tiny particles or coils, often leading to symptom relief and improved quality of life.

Arterial embolization blocks blood flow in specific arteries using materials like coils or particles. It’s used to treat conditions like tumors, bleeding, or vascular malformations, performed by interventional radiologists as a minimally invasive procedure.

Tumor Ablation

Our team utilizes minimally invasive techniques like radiofrequency ablation (RFA), microwave ablation, or cryoablation to treat tumors in the liver, kidneys, lungs, and other organs. These procedures destroy cancerous tissue while preserving surrounding healthy tissue, offering effective cancer treatment options.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation (MWA) are minimally invasive treatments for thyroid nodules and uterine fibroids (myomas).

RFA uses high-frequency electrical currents to destroy abnormal thyroid tissue, while MWA uses microwave energy for a similar effect in treating fibroids. Both procedures are guided by imaging techniques to target and ablate the affected tissue, offering effective alternatives to surgery with shorter recovery times and reduced risks.

Cryoablation

Cryoablation is a minimally invasive procedure that uses extreme cold temperatures to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue, such as tumors. A thin, needle-like probe is inserted into the targeted area, and the freezing temperatures produced by gases or liquids within the probe create ice crystals, effectively killing the unwanted tissue. This technique is commonly used in the treatment of certain types of cancers, particularly in organs like the liver, kidney, prostate, and lung, offering a less invasive alternative to traditional surgery with reduced recovery times and fewer complications.

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU)

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-invasive therapeutic technique that uses focused ultrasound waves to target and heat specific tissues within the body. This precise heating leads to thermal destruction or ablation of the targeted tissue without affecting surrounding healthy tissue. HIFU is often used in the treatment of conditions such as prostate cancer, uterine fibroids, and certain types of tumors. It offers advantages such as minimal to no pain, shorter recovery times, and reduced risk of complications compared to traditional surgical procedures, making it an attractive option for patients seeking less invasive treatments.

Venous Access Procedures

We perform venous access procedures such as central line placements, port placements, and dialysis catheter insertions for patients requiring long-term intravenous treatments, chemotherapy, or hemodialysis. These procedures are performed with precision and minimal discomfort for the patient.

Percutaneous Biopsy

Our interventional radiologists conduct percutaneous biopsies using imaging guidance to obtain tissue samples from suspicious lesions or masses. This helps in diagnosing various conditions, including cancer, infections, and inflammatory diseases, guiding subsequent treatment plans.

Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty

We offer vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty procedures to treat vertebral compression fractures caused by osteoporosis or trauma. These minimally invasive techniques involve stabilizing fractured vertebrae and reducing pain, promoting faster recovery and improved spinal function.

Liver-directed Therapies

Liver-directed therapies are treatments that specifically target liver tumors or lesions. These therapies include procedures such as radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), radioembolization (Yttrium-90), and percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI). They are used to manage primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) or metastatic liver tumors from other cancers, providing localized treatment while preserving healthy liver tissue.

Our interventional radiology services are tailored to each patient’s specific needs, ensuring precise diagnoses, targeted treatments, and minimal recovery times. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering exceptional care, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and advanced techniques to optimize patient outcomes and enhance overall well-being. Choose us for comprehensive interventional radiology solutions and compassionate patient-centered care.
