Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology uses image-guided, minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. Each procedure is planned according to the patient’s diagnosis, imaging findings, and overall medical condition.
- Angiography and Angioplasty
- Embolization (Arterial Embolisation Techniques)
- Vertebroplasty and Kyphoplasty
- High-intensity focused ultrasound
Image-Guided Treatment Planning & Continuity of Care
Interventional radiology uses imaging guidance to diagnose and treat selected conditions through small skin punctures, catheters, needles, embolic materials, or other minimally invasive techniques. Treatment planning depends on the diagnosis, imaging findings, symptoms, anatomy, medications, kidney function, bleeding risk, and whether the procedure fits safely within the patient's wider medical pathway.

Oncology Interventions
Oncology interventions include image-guided treatments such as transarterial chemoembolization, radioembolization, and tumor ablation. These procedures may be considered for selected patients with liver-dominant tumors or localized tumors, but they require multidisciplinary assessment, accurate imaging, liver function review, treatment sequencing, and long-term oncologic follow-up.
Learn moreArteriovenous Malformation (AVM) Treatment
Arteriovenous malformation treatment focuses on managing abnormal high-flow connections between arteries and veins. Because AVMs vary widely by location, size, symptoms, blood flow pattern, and relationship to normal tissue, treatment planning requires detailed imaging, specialist assessment, staged planning when needed, and careful long-term follow-up.
Learn moreProstate Artery Embolization (PAE)
Prostate artery embolization is an image-guided procedure that reduces blood flow to selected prostate arteries in patients with benign prostatic enlargement and urinary symptoms. Suitability depends on urologic assessment, prostate size and anatomy, symptom severity, medication history, imaging, PSA evaluation, bladder function, and exclusion of conditions that require different treatment.
Learn moreUterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
Uterine fibroid embolization is an image-guided treatment for selected patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids. Treatment planning depends on symptoms, MRI findings, fibroid type and location, bleeding pattern, fertility goals, gynecologic evaluation, overall health, anemia status, and careful follow-up after the procedure.
Learn moreVaricocele Embolization
Varicocele embolization is an image-guided treatment that closes abnormal veins contributing to varicocele-related scrotal symptoms or fertility concerns in selected patients. Planning depends on symptoms, physical examination, ultrasound findings, semen analysis when relevant, testicular size, previous treatments, and urology or fertility evaluation.
Learn morePelvic Congestion Syndrome Treatment
Pelvic congestion syndrome treatment may involve image-guided embolization of abnormal pelvic or ovarian veins in selected patients with chronic pelvic pain and proven venous reflux. Diagnosis requires careful evaluation because pelvic pain can have many causes, and treatment planning should involve gynecology, imaging review, symptom assessment, and follow-up coordination.
